2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account Information: Email address, full name, and password when you create an account.
- Signature Data: Name, job title, company, department, contact information, social media links, and other details you add to your email or document signatures.
- Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through our payment provider, Paddle. We do not store your credit card numbers on our servers.
- Profile Photos & Logos: Images you upload for use in your signatures.
- Team Information: Team names, invite codes, and member roles when you use team features.
- AI Input Data: Website URLs, text prompts, and preferences you provide when using our AI-powered tools.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: How you interact with our Service, features used, and session duration.
- Click Analytics: Aggregated data on link clicks in your signatures, including link type, link URL, and click timestamps.
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and device type derived from user agent strings.
- Log Data: IP address, approximate geographic location (country and city level), access times, and pages viewed.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including generating email and document signatures.
- Process subscription payments and send billing-related communications.
- Power AI features such as bio generation, style recommendations, and CTA suggestions.
- Provide click analytics and performance insights for your signatures.
- Send transactional emails including account verification, password resets, and important service updates.
- Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests.
- Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve user experience.
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or security concerns.
4. AI Features & Data Processing
GetSkrive offers AI-powered features including website data extraction, bio generation, style recommendations, and CTA suggestions. When you use these features:
- Your input data (such as website URLs or text prompts) is sent to OpenAI's API for processing.
- We send only the minimum data necessary to generate the requested output.
- AI-generated content is returned to you and may be stored as part of your signature data if you choose to use it.
- We do not use your data to train AI models. OpenAI's data processing is governed by their API data usage policies.
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following situations:
- Service Providers: With trusted third parties that help us operate our Service (payment processing, email delivery, AI processing). See Section 10 for details.
- Team Features: When you join a team or organization, your name and email are visible to team owners and administrators. Signatures shared within a team are accessible to all team members.
- Public Sharing: When you create a public share link for a signature, anyone with the link can view the signature and its contents.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
6. Teams & Organizations
When you use GetSkrive's team and organization features:
- Team Owners can view and manage all team members and shared signatures.
- Team Members can view and use signatures shared within their team, but cannot edit them.
- Organization Administrators have visibility into team activity and member management across their organization.
- Your name, email, and role are visible to other members of teams you belong to.
- If a team owner cancels their subscription, shared access to team signatures may be affected.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS for all connections.
- Secure password hashing and session management through our authentication system.
- Database access controls and regular security updates.
- Infrastructure hosted on secured servers with firewall protection.
- Regular database backups with encrypted storage.
While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Specifically:
- Account Data: Retained until you delete your account.
- Signature Data: Retained as long as your account is active.
- Click Analytics: Aggregated analytics data is retained for the lifetime of the associated signature.
- Payment Records: Retained as required by tax and financial regulations.
- Server Logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Some information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.

11. Third-Party Services
Our Service integrates with the following third-party services:

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing the use of your information. We encourage you to review their policies.
12. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@getskrive.com and we will take steps to delete such information.
